BED – Blue Sweater

BED – Blue Sweater

In 2015, Ebed “bed” Moreno started BED as a solo project, but in 2022, it took a big step forward into a full band, a record deal and a tour. Moreno originally played solo with his computer, but as he began to book more shows, he added Axel (drums), Joel (bass), and Nathan (guitar). Since then, this lineup has led to bigger gigs, the release of their self titled album, and a signing with Wiretap Records.

“Blue Sweater” starts off with a punk vibe, but when the lead guitar melody comes in, the song goes in a whole new direction. The raw sincerity of Moreno’s vocals, especially on the line “stop asking me if I’m alright,” is a nice touch. The combination of hard edged sound with melodic elements is what makes it stand out, especially with the catchy ‘whoa-oh-oh’s’ around the 50 second mark. “Blue Sweater” is a three minute escape worth taking.
