Hector Gachan – “Asking For A Friend”

In 2017, Hector Gachan turned heads with his debut album Untitled ’91. After that, he did what any rising musician would—he hit the road. Following years spent abroad in Sarajevo and Sydney, Gachan eventually made his way to Edinburgh, where he set up a home studio to work on his next project. “Asking For A Friend” offers the first glimpse into his much-anticipated sophomore album Care 2 Share. This new track showcases Gachan’s growth as an artist, with time away only sharpening his creative skills. “Asking For A Friend” feels as innovative and intimate as his earlier work, giving fans something exciting to look forward to when the album drops.

True to his signature style, Hector Gachan delivers a smooth and polished sound on “Asking For A Friend,” combining flowing guitar lines with punchy synths and his warm vocals. While his 80s influences are clear, the track comfortably aligns with contemporary acts like Kurt Vile and Real Estate.
