Song Preservation Society – Every Other Somewhere

Song Preservation Society – Every Other Somewhere

This beautiful record, created by three longtime friends—Trevor Bahnson, Ethan Glazer, and Daniel Wright—came to life after they reunited a decade after parting ways on their musical journey. The trio gathered around a firepit in Ojai during the pandemic to share songs, and the result is truly special. Brought to my attention by producer Scott Hirsch, who worked on it alongside Syd Sidney, the album embodies the signature Echo Magic sound: rootsy, groovy, and full of heart. With all three members contributing to the singing, writing, and instrumentals, this album is a stunning showcase of folk at its finest. The vocals and acoustic elements call to mind the Skiffle Players at times, and Pure Prairie League at others—an exceptional songwriter album that’s been one of the best I’ve heard in years.
