Swim Deep – Pure Air

Swim Deep – Pure Air

With a story that could easily be scripted for the big screen (he once worked for someone who knew The Krays and met Mark Ronson at an unknown Lady Gaga gig in Hackney), Tomi Tomaski is no stranger to the UK indie music scene. Born in Normandy, he relocated to the United Kingdom more than ten years ago and has been a member of Swim Deep, Childhood, Oscar Scheller, and Fake Laugh. Now, Tomaski is concerned with his own “post-indie” music.

“When I relocated to London, I intended to remain in the background and gradually introduce myself to the market,” Tomaski says. “Once I had my footing, I’d branch out on my own.” Now, I’ve been part of two albums with Childhood, three with Swim Deep, but I’ve never done a solo debut. That’s my next goal, and it feels like the right time for it.”
